In addition, the game sports higher resolution textures and some other improved assets which no doubt eat up some space. Typical console ports would just stick with lower resolution video but they actually went out of their way to provide higher quality clips. I believe Bink was selected due to its low requirements which prevent skipping and stuttering from occuring while loading other data during a video clip. Unfortunately, the game uses Bink which results in massive file sizes in order to reach decent quality. On the consoles, these videos were presented at 1280x720 but, for the PC version, they actually provided 1920x1080 video clips. While most of the games cutscenes are realtime, they use a lot of video between missions to mask loading points. I'm surprised to see anyone complain about the size simply because it's the result of releasing a good PC port.
